City of Lancaster’s Lead Service Line Inventory Project

An AmeriCorps NCCC team has been authorized by the City of Lancaster to assist the Water Bureau with data collection for the water service line inventory, required by the U.S. EPA.

The AmeriCorps NCCC team will be working throughout the water service territory from October 14 through November 9, 2024. They will need to enter homes and businesses in Millersville Borough to inspect customer’s water service lines, as the Borough is serviced by the City for water. AmeriCorps NCCC team members will be identified by yellow safety vests with “City of Lancaster” on the front and “Inspector” on the back. They will be wearing AmeriCorps NCCC identification.

Customers have been notified through utility bill inserts and the City of Lancaster will keep customers updated with postings on social media. Please direct any questions or concerns to Deputy Director of Utilities, Christine Volkay-Hilditch at 717-293-5531.
