Reminder: Collection of Yard Waste Begins on Monday, April 8th!
Dates: The collection period for 2024 is April 8th through October 28th.
Woody Yard Waste (WYW): Branches and prunings from trees and shrubbery, acorns, pinecones and nut burrs. Branches, limbs and other prunings less than 6 inches in diameter and no more than 4 feet in length can be bundled with biodegradable string and placed curbside for collection with a GREEN TAG affixed (sold in a sheet of 4 for $5.00). Put the green tag on the front of each brown bio-degradable bag, so it can be seen from the street.
Bag Pick Up: The biodegradable brown bags are available to Borough trash & recycling residents and are located in the Police Carport at the rear of the Borough Office. Please limit the number of bags you pick up to 20 bags per visit. WYW biodegradable bags and bundles should not exceed 30 lbs. in weight.
Notes: Do not staple or tape bags. The WYW bag does not count as one of your three regular trash items. If WYW bag found untagged, it will not be collected by the hauler. WYW is prohibited in regular trash during the WYW Collection period.
