2027 Reassessment Information

The 2027 Reassessment has been completed and property owners across Lancaster County can soon expect to receive their Change of Assessment Notices. The notice will reflect the County’s estimated market value of each property.

IMPORTANT- Once you receive your new assessment notice, you cannot apply the 2026 millage rate to your new assessment to calculate your tax liability. All taxing bodies, including Millersville Borough, must become revenue neutral by lowering their millage rates as a first step. For property owners, this means you should not try to apply the current Borough millage rates to your new assessment, as the rates will be adjusted downward in 2027.

For more information and answers to frequently asked questions about the 2027 Reassessment, property owners are invited to view the Lancaster County Property Assessment Office’s 2027 Reassessment Information page or call the Assessment Office at 717-299-8381 or 717-390-7742 once your Change of Assessment Notice is received.
